Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 26, 2026

You can have the data North Star holds about you deleted at any time. This page explains how to request it and what happens.

How to request deletion

Email hello@northstardashboard.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”, sent from the email address associated with your account.

Include the name of the business and, if you know them, the advertising account IDs involved. If we cannot verify that the request comes from the account holder, we will ask you to confirm before deleting anything.

You may also revoke our access directly and immediately, without contacting us:

Revoking access stops all future data collection immediately. It does not by itself delete data we have already stored — email us for that.

What gets deleted

What we may retain, and why

RetainedReasonHow long
Audit records of changes made to your advertising accounts These document what was done to accounts you own. Both parties may need them to resolve a dispute about a change. 24 months, then deleted
Billing and transaction records Required for tax and accounting obligations As required by law
Backups Deleted data persists in encrypted backups until those backups rotate out Up to 30 days

If you want the audit records deleted as well, say so in your request and we will delete them unless we are legally required to keep them.

Timeline

Data held by the advertising platforms

This page covers data held by North Star only. Your campaigns, ads, performance history, and account records inside Google Ads and Meta belong to you and live on their systems. Deleting your North Star data does not remove anything from your advertising accounts, and does not affect your campaigns. To delete data held by Google or Meta, contact them directly.
